Mast Climbers & Hoists

Overview

Hi-Rise rents and operates mast climbers and material hoists for construction sites across Winnipeg and Manitoba. A mast climber is a powered work platform riding up and down a single or twin vertical mast. It moves workers and material together instead of running separate trips by ladder or crane. Platforms carry loads from 1,000 to 6,000 lbs depending on the mast and configuration. The height adjusts on demand instead of being fixed like scaffolding.

Examples include

Where we apply it.

01Single or twin mast configurations
02Loads from 1,000 to 6,000 lbs
03Worker and material access on the same platform
04Height adjusts on demand, no rebuild required
05Faster mobilization than tower crane on many jobs
06Operated and inspected by trained crews

Good to know

Mast climbers earn their place on facade work, masonry, EIFS, and re-cladding jobs. That's where a crew moves both people and material up and down the same face repeatedly through the day. A scaffold or swing stage puts a platform in place and leaves it. A mast climber travels — the same platform serves floor two and floor twelve without rebuilding anything in between. We size the mast and platform to the load and building during the quote. Single mast for lighter, narrower runs. Twin mast where the load or platform width calls for it.
